Who we are

What we collect

When you ask for a quote we take your name, email address, phone number, your vehicle’s registration, make and model, your postcode if you give it, any photos you upload and anything you write in the comments. If you phone us or email us we keep a note of the conversation. If you book, we keep the job details and your invoice.

Why we use it

To give you a quote, answer your questions and book the work in. After you ask for a quote we will follow up by email, and sometimes by phone or WhatsApp, to see if you want to go ahead. If you ticked the box to receive discounts by email we will send you offers now and then; you can unsubscribe from any of those emails.

Who we share it with

The software we use to run the business: our booking and invoicing system, our email provider, and the system that sends your quote and follow-ups. We use Google Analytics to see how people use the website, and Google Ads and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to measure our advertising. When you submit a quote request we pass your email address and phone number to Google in a hashed form, so Google can tell us which adverts lead to enquiries. Google cannot read them; it only matches them against its own records. If you found us through a Google advert and go on to book with us, we tell Google that your enquiry or call became a job and what it was worth, so it can show us which adverts bring in work. For calls, we do that by sending Google the number you called from and the time of the call. We also use PostHog to see how people use the website. It records a playback of your visit: the pages you look at, where you move and click, and how far you scroll. We use it to find the places where the site is confusing or broken, like a form that will not submit. It does not record what you type into the form. If you upload photos of your wheels, those photos can appear in the playback, the same as they appear to us when we price the job. These recordings are stored in Europe and deleted after 30 days. We use AI services to help us handle enquiries. If you upload photos of your wheels or write in the comments, an AI model reads them to check the finish, spot any damage and see what your reply needs to cover, so the person pricing your job has a second pair of eyes. Recordings of calls to our branches, and messages left on our voicemail, are also transcribed by AI so we keep an accurate note of what was said. If you ring us for a price and don’t book, the AI also notes what the job was and the price you were given, so we can follow up on that quote. These requests go through OpenRouter to Google or Anthropic, and we only use providers that do not store what we send them or use it to train their models. We do not sell your details to anyone.

Cookies

The site uses cookies from Google, Meta and PostHog for analytics and advertising, and one cookie of our own that remembers how you first found us, kept for 90 days, so we know which adverts are worth paying for. We also remember which version of the quote form you were shown, so we can compare how well the two versions work. It is deleted after 90 days. You can block cookies in your browser settings.

How long we keep it

Quote requests, notes of calls and job records are kept for as long as we need them to run the business and meet our legal obligations, which for accounting records is six years.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to us using it for marketing. Email us at the address above. If you are not happy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
